Eardley International was established by Graham Eardley in July 1997, operating from the family farm near Dalton, Lockerbie. The business began with livestock transport and quickly developed a reputation for providing high quality, reliable transport with a high standard of animal welfare.

In 2001, Foot and Mouth Disease hit the British Isles, devastating the livestock industry in the south-west of Scotland and other parts of the country. This forced a change of business direction. Undeterred, we moved into general haulage, gaining considerable experience in European transport as a consequence. Expansion occurred quickly, with contracts being secured for distribution within the UK and abroad.

Using experience in the livestock industry, we began providing refrigerated haulage, specialising in the meat sector and working with leading abattoirs in the country. Our reputation in this sector has grown and refrigerated transport is now the core business of Eardley International.

With expansion, the company out-grew the farm and purpose built premises were sought. In October 2003, Graham and the Eardley International team moved to Ecclefechan. Located adjacent to Junction 19, M74, this was the perfect location to further expand the business. A major building expansion plan was started in late 2006 to further develop the premises into a state of the art transport facility.

This brings us to the present day and Eardley International continues to provide livestock and refrigerated transport based on three guiding principles: reliability; high quality; competitiveness. Contact us to find out more.
